Steve is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has been an educator at Cleveland University-Kansas City since 2007. Steve teaches chiropractic history and Thompson Technique and serves as the assistant dean of chiropractic education in addition to being a volunteer provider at KC CARE Health Center in Midtown. Steve has taught continuing education courses on Thompson Technique, pain science, kinesiology taping and instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation. Steve serves on the board of directors of the Association for the History of Chiropractic and the J. Clay Thompson Technique Foundation, as well as the instructor’s bureau for RockTape. Steve has special interest in pain science and ongoing pain syndromes and completed a certification in Therapeutic Pain Science from Evidence in Motion and Purdue University in 2022.

Dr. Brandi ChildressDr. Brandi N. Childress is a native of Columbus, GA. She attended Alabama State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduating from ASU, Dr. Childress attended Sherman College of Chiropractic, where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2008. Dr. Childress is a full spine practitioner with a special affinity for children and she has been in practice in the Atlanta area for 15 years. When not helping to change lives through chiropractic, you can find her in the classroom at Georgia State University as a Senior Lecturer of Biology teaching Human Anatomy & Physiology. Dr. Childress has been active with the American Chiropractic Association, American Black Chiropractic Association, and the Georgia Chiropractic Association. She currently serves as the President of the American Black Chiropractic Association. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and participates in community service with organizations such as the American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association.
